Overview of Assistance

In 2011 and 2012, Economic Support Fund (ESF) assistance to Egypt combines the actual USD 250 million ESF spending in Egypt and USD 100 million in debt relief to Egypt that came out of the ESF budget. The additional USD 100 million in debt relief can be found in the spigot tables of the FY2013 and FY2014 Congressional Budget Justifications.
